Ghaziabad Travel and Tourism Guide

The city was founded by Ghazi-ud-din in 1740, who named it Ghaziuddinnagar after himself. After the opening of railway line the name of the place was shortened to Ghaziabad. Being the entrance of Uttar Pradesh it is also known as gate way of Uttar Pradesh. The land has given birth to many freedom fighters who played a leading role in the 1949 August revolution. On account of its rapid industrialization and its proximity to Delhi, It became the Industrial Hub of UP.
