Road open, there are few bad patches but otherwise it is ok. Sometimes road get blocked for 1-2 hours due to rain/mudslide, so pls plan your travel with 2-3 hours extra due to such incidences.

Rishikesh Badrinath highway is ok, there are few small bad stretches dues to all-weather road work going on. Sometime road gets blocked in the rainy season for 1-2 hours so pls take that into consideration while planning.

Yes, Kedarnath trek is very much possible. Trek is about 17 Km and takes about 6 hours as the trek is steep. You can also get pony.

Absolutely yes.. no doubt about it. It is beautiful and hopefully get good snow there. Just word of caution - in case it is snowing while you are there at Joshimath, take the cable car instead of driving in snow

All the Badrinath bound buses stop at Gobindghat. Alight there and rest is to be covered on foot via Ghangria (13 km)

To reach Tehri Dam, you would need to take a detour for approx 25-30km

Both routes i.e. via Ghansali or via Sringagar are good. Route via Srinagar comes under NH, so wider roads, but via Ghansali is shorter distance, good roads Pls provide review of the app

Yes, all good roads except a patch of about 1.5 Km which is rough.
Trekking distance is 17.5 Km.
Trekking up takes about 6-7 hours, while coming down is an hour less. Pony takes about 1.5 hour lesser each way. If you are a regular trekker, you can do it in same day by starting early morning about 4:30-5:00 AM. However we won't recommend it in same day, because trek is quite steep, tiring, and with low oxygen due to high altitude.

It will take about 5 hours to trek down from Kedarnath, so you might need to start early morning. After that it depends upon your energy, probably Chamoli would be a good place. But we always recommend not to get your body tired and exhausted. Do not drive if you feel tired, it is way too risky for hills.

Did hyd agra in 20hrs with regular breaks. If you capable of driving 20hrs..You can do it easily. Don't take long breaks and sleep well in advance. Start early morning of Saturday and take power nap when ever u need. Will be in hyd by sunday
Jhansi to agra again has bad patches..
If you have co drivers you can attempt it.. will not suggest solo driving.. its quite stressful.. did the route upwards from Hyd to delhi in march... streches between adilabad and nagpur are decent.. not great roads...
In one day, Delhi hydrebad is tough, but doable. You will need to drive upwards of 20 hours. Route to be taken is Delhi-Agra-Jhansi-Nagpur-Adilabad-Hydrebad. Delhi to agra is a runway for cars so nothing to say there. Agra to jhansi has some bad stretches just before jhansi, will lose some time there. Jhansi to nagpur are good stretches with road work under way at some places. Try to exit nagpur by 9 pm. Nagpur to adilabad is a very vacant strech with decent roads. From adilabad onwards you can push it hard as the highway is pretty isolated and good tarmac conditions.
September is pretty safe for the trek. Just check the weather for rainfall as it makes the trek difficult and less enjoyable

You can do the trip on your own very easily. Just head up to govind ghat and you have three options to go up to ghangria. Either take a pony or a helicopter ride(if weather permits) or just walk. There are decent stay options at ghangria. Leave early in morning for valley of flowers and just follow the trail. You can easily go up to the river bed following the trail. Next day head for hemkund sahib early in morning and you can either stay there or leave for govind ghat the same day.

You should visit Jaisalmer for the same. You should also go for night camp in the desert. Just make sure you have enough warm clothes, it is difficult to believe, but it gets really cold in winter nights

Yes you can do it in one day, but I will suggest doing it on a pony rather than walking. It will be more enjoyable and less tiring. There are plenty of stay options up there, but it is better to book those in advance. There are helicopter options as well for a single day return journey

Yes, Kedarnath trek is doable in single day, but a lot depends upon you. For Single day, you will need to start early (around 4 am). 14 Km trek (one way) takes about 6-7 hours uphill and an hour less downhill. Accommodations at temple is provided only by GMVN, which are more like dormitories, but provide comfortable stay for the night. Although temple remains open throughout the night, but first Aarti is performed around 4am.
I would prefer first option (Delhi - Muzaffarnagar - Roorkee - Dehradun - Mussoorie - Nainbagh - Barkot - Yamnuotri) because this is shorter and have less traffic compared to second one. The only issue is not many good places for food between Mussoorie and Barkot (about 4.5 hour drive) on this route.

Copying the earlier Travel Forum post regarding 4-Dham Experience from Mr Rakesh - General: 0. Biometric: it's free of cost and is not a reservation for you at temple. No need for online registration. At Haridwar, I got it done in 5 minutes. No queues. Nobody asked us for the card during the entire journey. Though at Kedarnath, they asked after completing our journey and de-registered due to insurance attached with it. I had done online registration as well but seems it is waste of money. 1. If you are going by a commercial vehicle of any other state, then you need to pay (a) road tax (b) Acquire Green Certificate. Without Green Certificate, you cannot proceed or will face lots of issues with police check posts. The driver of commercial vehicle must have license for Hill. 2. Process to obtain Green Certificate is little long. Hence try to get it at Haridwar on very first day. We landed up at Dehradoon and wasted 5 hours to close the formality with broker's help. 3. Start your day early to avoid mad rush in temples as well as on roads. With June nearing, crowd should go down. 4. AMS (Accute mountain Sickness): Consult your doctor before beginning journey. There are few homeopathic medicines (Coca 30, 200), which helps in fighting AMS. Alternatively, please carry Camphor (kapoor) as well in a small air tight box. 5. Be sufficiently hydrated while ascending the trek and keep drinking water with Glucose and Frooti. 6. For trekking, i felt it was easy to climb with baby steps at lower pace. :) You can decide your own physical strength and pace. 7. Try getting a mobile SIM of BSNL, as it would work in mountains. Other carriers do not work mostly at high altitudes. My experience with Yamunotri: 1. Usually people stay at Barkot. Which is around 30-40km from Yamunotri. One should start at 5 or before to avoid traffic on road as well as when trekking to temple. 2. Darshans is not managed well. No queues. :( . If you are ok to spend money then pandit will help you with pooja etc. 3. While trekking (both ways), pay attention to pony/palki etc. The ponies/palki would hit if you don't give way. 4. Keep raincoats with you. Usually, it would drizzle or rain in 2nd half of the day. 5. From Yamunotri to Gangotri, there is a place called Shivgufa. You may visit if you have time (e.g. people staying at Uttarkashi can visit this place but people staying further at Harshil and Gangotri may skip due to their longer journey). My experience with Gangotri: 1. Peace of mind - No ponies. No Palkis. :) One has to walk for a km or less. 2. Go for Vishesh pooja. A slip of 750/- for approximately 6 persons. Else during peak hours you may have to queue up for 2 hours as well. 750 bucks is worth the time you spend inside temple and offer prayers. 3. Before onwards journey, one can visit Harshil, if time permits. My experience with Kedarnath ji: 1. Frankly speaking - Not good from trekking perspective. Not a good trek for pedestrians due to heavy presence of ponies and the way these ponies are operated. 2. Trek is steeper than Yamunotri. 3. Start very early at Sonprayag. I was stuck at Sonprayag for couple of hours for a ride to Gaurikund. This is 5 km journey by local transport (Marshal or Sumo). Your vehicle will be stopped at Sonprayag. From parking you will have to walk 900 meters to reach the point where you can board the local transport. 4. It usually rains in second half. So be ready for it. Go for raincoats (20 rs). A very thin polythene, but serves purpose. You should wear shoes which can dry quickly. Else it becomes nightmare to get them dry and cleaned. 5. Carry extra clothes, if you are trekking and plan to stay overnight. 6. GVMN accommodation is good. I stayed in bunk beds and stay was comfortable. Geyser was available for hot water :) 7. Queue up at temple around 4 am to get Darshans by six am. And you can start trekking back. 8. If you want to do Vishesh pooja, then get the receipt in evening itself for next day (overnight post 1200 am and before 5 am). I didn't go for that and preferred to pay Pitthoo wala instead, who carried our baggage. 9. Keep drinking water and glucose while trekking in either direction. Frooti was alternative for me. 10. We took 8.5 hours to ascend and 6.5 hours to descend. 11. With pony, one can complete darshan in a day and come back. But you will have start day early. 12. There are around 10+ helicopter companies operating in this region. All seem to be fully booked as of now. Be ready for additional 2100 per pax in case of helicopter travel. 13.I didn't explore but seems few had gone for one side journey through helicopter. 14. For helicopter package, go early and come back early. With weather changes, helicopters can be stopped any time and one may get stranded at Kedarnath ji.

Yes, there is a separate route from Barkot. When you are at Yamunotri or Barkot, use ExploreOuting to search for Ambala city and the n click on Map to find the direction. No warning or road block is reported on this route.
