Bhangarh Fort Travel Guide

Established in 1613 by Madho Singh, the fort is said to be one of the most haunted sites in the world and is a major tourist attraction. According to myth, Guru Balu Nath, who meditated here sanctioned the establishment of the town but warned that if the palace’s shadow touches him, the city will be no more! But one of the ambitious descendants raised the palace to such a height that it cast a shadow on Balu Nath's forbidden retreat and as predicted the whole town was devastated.
