Jim Corbett National Park Travel Guide

It is one of India's richest wilderness areas, established in 1936. The land of tigers has captured the imagination of many with its diverse wildlife and breathtaking landscapes. The natural uniqueness of the area was recognized long ago by Jim Corbett, a hunter-naturalist who lived and contributed in setting up this region and after whom the park is named. Corbett has been a favorite haunt for tourists and wildlife lovers. You can explore its beautiful landscape and the diverse wildlife in selected areas only. Along with more than 160 tigers, the park houses a large variety of flora and fauna, the famous Bengal tiger and Asiatic elephant. Other attractions like Corbett falls, Dhikala machaan, Getheryo library, Corbett museum and crocodile pool will leave you spell bound. Tip: • Best time to visit: 15th November to 15th June. • Enjoy jeep safari. • Pets are not allowed inside the park. • Walking or Trekking is not allowed. • Cooking is not allowed inside Corbett National Park.
