Kalika Mata Temple Travel Guide

This temple was originally built by Bappa Rawal in the 8th century and was dedicated to the Sun God. It was destroyed during the first attack on Chittorgarh, and regaining the fort, Rana Hammir put in an image of Kalika, the family’s patron Goddess to replace the Sun God.
