Dharohar museum was set up by Kurukshetra University inside the university campus, in its golden jubilee year, to showcase the matchless cultural, architectural and archaeological heritage of Haryana. It truly makes a visitor feel in a typical Haryanvi village through its exhibits. One of its galleries is a big open mud kitchen that houses the equipment’s used in the kitchen. One gallery is dedicated to Indian army and showcases the pictures of martyrs. There is a deep well in the centre where village women fill water and walk by placing pots on their heads. A man playing a wooden musical instrument under a peepal tree is a sight that is rare in today's modern times. This beautiful museum gives some inspiration to every visitor to keep their culture alive.
