Mindrolling Monastery Travel Guide

The Mindrolling Monastery is one of the six major monasteries of the Nyingma school of Buddhism. It was established in the year 1965 by Khochhen Rinpoche and a few other monks who wanted to renew the Mindrolling Monastery in India. The monastery today is home to Ngagyur Nyingma College - one of India’s largest Buddhist institutes. At present, the mind rolling organization provides Buddhist education to over 300 monks beginning from primary and secondary schools and preserve and promotes Buddhism and Tibetan culture. It houses many magnificent examples of Buddhist art and architecture. The building also houses dormitories, classrooms for the schools for young monks.
