Sanskriti Museums Travel Guide

Established in 1984 to foster India’s unique culture and traditions, the Sanskriti Museum of Everyday Art celebrates the skillful craftsmanship of Indian artisans. The Museums of Everyday Art, Indian Terracotta and Textiles are a conduit for the preservation and presentation of indigenous heritage, craftsmanship, aesthetic functionality and cultural practices. Tradition and modernity are not two separate categories - one transmutes into another. On display in the museum are objects related to daily life, customs and beliefs. What’s interesting is how the museum displays objects that are used throughout the life cycle of an individual, right from a child’s toys, to items used by students and young adults and then objects used by the elderly.
