Kathgodam Travel and Tourism Guide

“Kathgodam” literally meaning timber depot was a small town but later become popular with extension of railway line in 19th century. It is a picturesque town that serves as a base to visit the famous hill station of Nainital and its mountain leads to various destinations like Bhimtal, Sattal, Mukteshwar, Ranikhet, Naukuchiyata and Almora. The town is equally famous for its numerous beautiful temples. Tips: Best time to visit: April –March
