Discover the tranquil natural beauty of Harsil, visit to Gangotri temple (one of the world famous Chardham). Mukhba is the winter seat of Mother Ganga. Gartang Gali used to be one of the major Himalayan trade route between India & Tibet, while Tehri Lake is the beautiful place for water sports at the dam on river Ganga surrounded by mountains.
Detailed Itinerary (4 Days)
Day 1: Dehradun/Haridwar to Harsil ( ~8-9 hours drive)
Start early morning for a drive full of Himalayan picturesque locations. With increase in altitude you will start getting fresh breeze, scenic views of hills & valleys, confluence of different branches of river Ganga.
Night stay at Harsil with dinner & breakfast included.
Day 2: Harsil, Gangotri / Mukhba, Pandav Gufa
(a) Start early morning for an hour drive in the morning from Harsil to Gangotri. The temple is just 5-7 minutes walk from parking. Water in the river is extremely cold but still few people take a quick dip before darshan at temple. You can take a walk around the place, enjoy the nature around.
(b) On the way back (~ 1.5 Km from Gangotri), stop for Pandav Gufa. A large cave supposed to be ~5000 years old where Pandavas are believed to have meditated and rested during their journey to Kailash. It takes about 2-3 hours to visit the Pandava Gufa and trek is very beautiful & picturesque with green pine forest. Please carry drinking water and some snacks.
(c) Enjoy the beautiful Harsil Valley, take a walk in & around the place

Day 3: Harsil - Gartang Gali - Tehri Lake
(a) After early morning breakfast drive to Gartang Gali. A skywalk on wooden bridge built by cutting through a single rock, it offers lovely sight of Nelong Valley, and beautiful surroundings. Bridge is attached to mountains and swinging in the air
(b) Drive Back towards Tehri Lake ( ~3 hours drive), Night stay GMVN Guesthouse at Uttarkashi
Day 4: Uttarkashi - Tehri Lake
Start early morning - Morning darshan at Vishwnath temple at Uttarkashi.
Drive towards Tehri Lake (~3 hours drive). Reach Tehri at early afternoon
Enjoy water sports at Tehri Lake
Drive to Haridwar / Dehradun (~3 hours drive)
